Ahmad’s Story
Ahmad was a vibrant 5-year-old boy who loved coloring, singing, dancing, and playing with his siblings. His young and joyful life was tragically cut short when, just nine months after complaining that “his brain hurt”, he passed away from brain cancer.
Despite the intense suffering caused by the life-prolonging treatments, Ahmad never lost his spirit. During his battle, Ahmad expressed his desire to be a police officer when he grew up because he wanted to “help a lot of people.” The Ahmad Butler Foundation carries on Ahmad’s legacy; his life inspires our foundation’s mission.
1Million Families March
Please join us in person at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as we march down Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Philadelphia City Hall or virtually from anywhere on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 for the Coalition of Nonprofits 1Million Families March for the Cure to Childhood Cancer, as we rally our nation to conquer childhood cancer.
We march in honor of all the Superhero Kids who lost their lives to childhood cancer. We march alongside the families left to mourn their loss. We march to uplift and support those who survived and are living with the devastating long-term effects of childhood cancer. We march for the children and their families currently battling childhood cancer and the far-reaching psychological, emotional, social, and economic impacts of the disease.
Please join us in person or virtually on Sunday, September 7, 2025, as we march as one to change the lives of many!
