Our Founder and Board Secretary are walking 179 miles from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. in a peaceful protest to protect kids with cancer. Their goal is to meet with Congress, urge them to stop the 2026 cuts to pediatric cancer funding, and fight for a future every child deserves.
Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children and adolescents. With only 4% of funding allocated for research and treatment, now is not the time to cut funding. Join the fight against pediatric cancer today!

Latanya Morrison has had several careers in her lifetime, but none have been as meaningful as her position as Executive Director of Forever Captain Poodaman! The Ahmad Butler Foundation.
Latanya vividly remembers rushing her grandson and ABF’s namesake, Ahmad “Captain Poodaman” Butler, to the hospital and thinking he might not make the car ride, as he was visibly losing his battle with cancer. Ahmad told his grandmother he was going to be a police officer when he grew up, and then asked her, with blood trickling down his nose, “Will I be a good one? And will I help a lot of people?” Although Latanya knew he would never reach adulthood, she told, “Yes, of course.” At that point, ABF went from a thought, to a promise, to her life’s purpose! Latanya founded ABF in January 2020 to support children battling life-threatening childhood diseases. She believes in the GOOD WORK of this Foundation as much as she believes in Ahmad and the AMAZING Superhero Kids we serve!

Tabatha Lupinetti is a senior data analyst at a Philadelphia consulting group, for the last 25 years providing economic research and statistical data analysis in employment litigation involving violations of federal and state EEO laws. Her work has extended to HR management consulting in areas of labor relations negotiations, employee compensation systems, merit incentive programs, and evaluations of organizational structures and processes. Tabatha and her husband live in South Jersey with their springer spaniel, Bodhi, and their small flock of backyard chickens.
Why ABF? Tabatha connected with ABF by volunteering her data analyst skills to the Digital Learning Program at ABF. She learned that children hospitalized with cancer and other chronic conditions are at a
30-60% increased risk of performing below basic academic standards – a direct result of the disruptions in school attendance and absenteeism. Tabatha will be working directly with ABF Founder and Executive Director Latanya Morrison on her vision for the Digital Learning Program and the goal to address chronic absenteeism and facilitate a quality education remotely.
Keith Morrison is a licensed Realtor in Pennsylvania. He finds it a rewarding profession as it allows him to meet and help families from all walks of life find their dream homes. He is the proud father of three beautiful adult children whom he can’t live without and the grandfather of four amazing kids, Ahmad Butler being one of them. Keith credits these seven humans and his much better half Latanya for continuously striving to be the best version of himself. Keith is also a cancer survivor!
Why ABF? When Ahmad was diagnosed with cancer, he came to live with Keith and Latanya. Keith had the pleasure of providing tender love and care for his precious grandson. That inspired Keith to help launch and play a key role in the foundation based on a few guiding beliefs. First, when families are faced with this terrible news, they have no clue what’s to come. His family had wonderful strangers help them in ways they could not have imagined and wants to give back. Second, when someone dies and you stop talking about them, Keith believes they die twice, and the foundation helps keep his main man’s name alive. Third, after going through his own battle with cancer, he realized how depressing, painful, and scary it is and wants to provide comfort to these children in need.

Why ABF? Charlotte felt a connection to the ABF family from the very first conversation she had with Executive Director Latanya Morrison, and the desire to help the organization only became stronger as she learned more about childhood cancer, ABF’s mission and the team that supports it. She’s inspired by Ahmad Butler’s story and hopes to help improve the lives of the superheroes still suffering.
Meet Jordan Blount, an active-duty Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Since starting his career in October 2018, he has been stationed on CVN 75, based out of Norfolk, VA. Jordan’s service has not only been a rewarding and developmental experience, but it has also equipped him with valuable skills and a strong sense of dedication.
In his free time, Jordan dedicates himself to coaching youth football during the fall season and high school wrestling during the winter season. His commitment to these young athletes is a testament to his character. Prior to the military, he worked for Discover Card as an Account Manager and AutoZone as a Parts Sales Specialist Supervisor.
Why ABF? Jordan and his beautiful wife, Dajia, are the proud parents of Superhero Kids, 6-year-old Gavin Jordan Blount and 5-year-old Bryson Blount, who both lost their battle with pediatric cancer ten months apart. This personal loss has deeply connected Jordan to the mission of ABF. He has always had the passion to help other families going through a similar road. ABF came into our lives after losing our first son to brain cancer and has treated my entire family as family since Day 1. While still having a child actively fighting, we were invited to events for our family to attend. The number of selfless, kind-hearted, caring, and loving volunteers we encountered was inspiring. My family felt very welcome, and so did all the kids and other families. The work that ABF is doing to work towards goals set in place is inspiring. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing family that has held my family in their arms during some of our toughest times.

I decided to work with ABF because of the profound impact my grandmother’s battle with brain cancer had on me. Her courageous fight fueled my desire to contribute to the fight against cancer and support those affected by it. Joining ABF allows me to honor her memory by helping children facing similar challenges access support and education, ensuring they have hope and resources to persevere through their own battles.
