ABF's Road Trip

Join us as we take fun and adventurous road trips around the world. These are not just journeys, but interactive experiences designed for Superhero Kids and their families. They allow you to explore from your hospital rooms or at home during recovery, speak with tour guides, ask questions, get answers, and make new friends. Although registration is not required to join ABF’s Road Trip, it is required for a chance to win fun ABF Road Trip Swag, so be sure to ask your parents to register you. Winners will be announced at the end of the road trip, so stay tuned.

The Parent Trap

Because care givers need “Wonderful Distractions” too! We understand the importance and benefits of mental breaks or as ABF calls them “Wonderful Distractions”.

These activities were designed to engage, invigorate, and wonderfully distract the leaders of families who fight alongside their Supreheroes in every child’s life, which are their parents. We have partnered with businesses nationwide to bring various virtual experiences directly to you.

Joyful Journeys: Art, Yoga & More

Joyful Journeys: Art, Yoga & More is a series of virtual classes designed to give hospitalized children and their caregivers a creative escape, a mental reset, and a moment of joy.

Registration is a must.

ABF Road Trips and Joyful Journeys are always free and are for hospitalized children and their immediate families. With over 200 children’s hospitals partnering with us nationwide in our virtual Wonderful Distraction program, registering helps us plan ahead, ship supplies, and ensure every family receives the joyful experience they deserve. To register and obtain the link to join, please contact your superhero’s hospital administrator or social worker.

Karuna Yoga with Asha Venkatarao

Virtual Yoga Sessions are held on the second Tuesday of every month, led by professional; yoga instructor Asha Venkatarao, owner and operator of Karuna Yoga. At the Ahmad Butler Foundation, we believe that caregivers deserve just as much compassion and support as the children they love. Learn more….

Virtual Art Sessions are held twice a month, led by professional artist instructors. Our inspiring virtual art sessions open to all skill levels and bring joy and creativity to pediatric patients across the country, and beyond right from their hospital rooms. Our ABF volunteers from around the world have recorded audio of books, short stories, and poems for you to listen to, which will help shorten the wait. So, get lost in the stories as we prepare for our next weekly road trip.
