Join the Fight with Lights
This September, the Ahmad Butler Foundation is encouraging landmarks across the globe to light gold in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and in support of children and families impacted by pediatric cancer.
Landmarks and communities participating in The Fight With Lights will illuminate skylines in gold throughout September, creating a visible symbol of hope, solidarity and support for children fighting cancer and the families standing beside them.
We encourage families, supporters and communities to safely visit participating landmarks, take photos and share them on social media using #TheFightWithLights and #AhmadButlerFoundation.
Together, we can light the world gold and remind every family facing childhood cancer that they do not stand alone.

Our mission with The Fight With Lights is urgent and crucial. We aim to paint the WORLD yellow this September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The Fight With Lights Team is reaching out to individuals who manage National Landmarks, Monuments, and Buildings, urging them to join The Fight With Lights against pediatric cancer by Lighting up in yellow in September 2026. The time to act is now! Let’s unite and raise awareness of pediatric cancer, the #1 cause of death by disease among children. Together, we can make a difference!
If you know of buildings, monuments, bridges, etc., in your area that light up for a cause, please “drop us a line” below with the name, city, and state, and we will take care of the rest. A list of all the monuments, landmarks, and buildings participating in “The Fight With Lights” campaign, as well as their light-up dates and locations, will be listed here and updated weekly.
You can also join “The Fight With Lights”! Show your support this September by using yellow exterior bulbs on your home.
